- 1 1/2 cups fresh watermelon
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 2 frozen bananas
- Juice and zest of half a lime
Dairy & Sweeteners
- 2 tbsp vegan yogurt
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Ensure the watermelon is fresh and cut into chunks, strawberries and bananas are properly frozen. Zest and juice half a lime.
- Add Ingredients to Blender: Add the ingredients to a high-speed blender starting with the watermelon first, followed by frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, lime zest and juice, vegan yogurt, and maple syrup.
- Blend Smoothie: Place the lid on the blender and blend on high speed. Use a tamper if available to push ingredients toward the blade to ensure an even, creamy blend.
- Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass or into a hollowed-out mini watermelon rind for a fun and eco-friendly presentation.
Notes
- You can adjust the creaminess by adding a small amount of water if the smoothie is too thick; start with 1/4 cup and add more if needed.
- To serve in a watermelon, choose a mini watermelon, cut it in half, scoop out the flesh, and level the rind’s bottom to sit flat.
- If you dislike banana, substitute with peeled chopped frozen zucchini to maintain creaminess and texture.
