Description

The Tiramisu Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini is a decadent fall-inspired cocktail that combines the rich flavors of bourbon, espresso, and pumpkin spice with a creamy mascarpone topping. This indulgent dessert cocktail balances a smooth pumpkin butter sweetness with the boldness of coffee liqueur and aromatic bitters, finished with a dusting of cocoa and a ladyfinger garnish for a truly festive experience.

Ingredients

Cocktail:

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1 shot espresso
  • 2 bar spoons pumpkin butter
  • ½ ounce maple syrup
  • ¼ ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1 dash Angostura aromatic bitters

Pumpkin Spice Mascarpone Cream:

  • ½ tablespoon mascarpone
  • 2 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 bar spoon pumpkin butter

Garnish:

  • Cocoa powder
  • Lady finger

Instructions

  1. Shake the Cocktail: Add 2 ounces of bourbon, 1 shot espresso, 2 bar spoons of pumpkin butter, ½ ounce maple syrup, ¼ ounce coffee liqueur, and 1 dash Angostura aromatic bitters to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until well mixed and chilled.
  2. Pour into Glass: Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass, preparing the base for your layered dessert cocktail.
  3. Prepare Mascarpone Cream: In a small container, combine ½ tablespoon mascarpone, 2 ounces heavy cream, and 1 bar spoon pumpkin butter. Lightly mix until the mixture thickens to a soft, pourable consistency—avoid whipping it to stiff peaks.
  4. Add the Cream Layer: Pour the pumpkin spice mascarpone cream gently over the back of a spoon into the cocktail to create a smooth topping layer, then gently smooth it out for an even finish.
  5. Garnish the Drink: Dust the top generously with cocoa powder and place a lady finger on the rim or side as a complementary garnish, adding texture and a nod to tiramisu dessert.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overwhip the pumpkin spice mascarpone cream; it should remain soft and spoonable, not stiff.
  • If the cream is too thick, thin it with a little extra heavy cream until it pours easily.
  • Use fresh espresso for the best coffee flavor and aroma in your cocktail.
  • Chill your coupe glass beforehand for a cooler serving experience.
