Description
A delicious and vibrant Pink Latte made with beetroot powder, cinnamon, and maple syrup, combined with steamed and frothed milk to create a warming and visually stunning beverage perfect for any time of day.
Ingredients
Pink Latte Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon beetroot powder
- 1 pinch cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat Beet Mixture: Heat half of the milk in a saucepan over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon of beetroot powder and a pinch of cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring to ensure the beetroot powder dissolves fully.
- Froth the Remaining Milk: Using a milk frother, whisk, or blender, froth the remaining half of the milk until it becomes light and airy.
- Assemble the Latte: Transfer the hot beet-infused milk to a mug, then top it with the frothy milk. Stir gently to combine the layers evenly.
- Add Sweetener: Sweeten the latte by mixing in the maple syrup or an alternative sweetener of your choice towards the end, just before serving.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle additional beetroot or cinnamon powder on top for an extra pop of color. Optionally, garnish with dried lavender for a fragrant twist.
Notes
- For iced pink lattes, mix a small amount of the beet mixture with some hot milk before adding cold milk to prevent graininess.
- You can experiment by adding other warming spices such as ground black pepper or ground ginger for extra depth of flavor.
- If using honey as your sweetener, add it at the last moment, right before serving, to retain its delicate flavors.
- Be cautious when handling beetroot powder or beet juice as its vibrant pink color can stain clothing easily.
