Description
Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, flavorful pieces of steak cooked to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce. This quick and easy skillet recipe uses simple ingredients like garlic, butter, and fresh parsley to create a delicious dish perfect for a weeknight dinner or entertaining guests.
Ingredients
Steak Bites
- 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
- 2 pounds of steak, cut into small bite size pieces
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Green onion, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the steak bites: In a mixing bowl, combine the steak pieces with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well until the steak bites are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Brown the steak bites: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the avocado oil to the hot skillet, then place the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is nicely browned. Depending on your skillet size, you might need to cook the steak in batches. Remove the browned steak from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté garlic in butter: Discard any excess water from the skillet, then add the butter or ghee. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not burnt.
- Coat steak with garlic butter: Return the browned steak bites to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring well to coat the steak in the flavorful garlic butter sauce.
- Finish and serve: Remove the skillet from heat, stir in the chopped parsley, and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
- If you want extra spice, increase the red pepper flakes to taste.
- Use high-quality steak for the best tenderness and flavor.
- You can substitute ghee with unsalted butter for a slightly different flavor.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the pan to allow proper browning of steak bites.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
