Description
These fudgy Oreo brownies combine the rich, gooey texture of brownies with the crunchy, creamy goodness of Oreos. A decadent treat that’s simple to make and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cocoa powder
2 cups Oreos, roughly crushed
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the chocolate chips and stir until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the white sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the sugar mixture. Whisk until smooth and slightly fluffy. Then stir in the cooled chocolate-butter mixture until combined.
- Sift in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder, gently folding until smooth and free of lumps.
- Fold in the crushed Oreos, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8″x8″ (20cm x 20cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Optionally, sprinkle more chocolate chips and crushed Oreos on top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick—moist crumbs for fudgy, clean for cakey brownies.
- Allow the brownies to cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
For a minty twist, try using mint Oreos instead of regular ones.
Peanut butter can be swirled into the batter for added flavor.
For a crunchy touch, fold in chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months.
