Description

These fudgy Oreo brownies combine the rich, gooey texture of brownies with the crunchy, creamy goodness of Oreos. A decadent treat that’s simple to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

½ cup white sugar

½ cup brown sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup cocoa powder

2 cups Oreos, roughly crushed

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the chocolate chips and stir until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the white sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the sugar mixture. Whisk until smooth and slightly fluffy. Then stir in the cooled chocolate-butter mixture until combined.
  4. Sift in the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder, gently folding until smooth and free of lumps.
  5. Fold in the crushed Oreos, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8″x8″ (20cm x 20cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Optionally, sprinkle more chocolate chips and crushed Oreos on top.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick—moist crumbs for fudgy, clean for cakey brownies.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.

Notes

For a minty twist, try using mint Oreos instead of regular ones.

Peanut butter can be swirled into the batter for added flavor.

For a crunchy touch, fold in chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months.
