Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Peel the Honeycrisp apples and slice them into 1/2-inch thick wedges to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  2. Make the Flour Spice Mix: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, apple pie spice, and 4 tablespoons of cinnamon. Transfer this mixture into a container with a lid for easy coating.
  3. Coat the Apples First Time: Add the apple wedges to the container with the flour mixture. Seal the lid and shake well to coat the apples evenly with the spiced flour blend. Remove and set aside.
  4. Prepare Egg Wash: In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs together with vanilla extract until fully blended.
  5. Double Coat the Apples: Dip each apple wedge into the egg wash, then return to the flour mixture container. Shake again to apply a second, thicker coating for extra crispiness.
