Description

This Baked Goat Cheese Bruschetta Dip is a creamy, savory appetizer that combines tangy goat cheese, mozzarella, and Greek yogurt baked to perfection and topped with fresh tomato bruschetta, balsamic glaze, and basil. Perfect for serving alongside grilled crostini or pita, it makes a delightful party starter or snack that’s easy to prepare and full of fresh Italian flavors.

Ingredients

Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz. goat cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 grated garlic cloves

Topping & Garnish

  • 1 cup homemade or jarred tomato bruschetta (e.g., DeLallo brand)
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. balsamic glaze
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves

Serving

  • Grilled crostini or pita bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400ºF to prepare for baking the dip.
  2. Mix the Cheeses and Yogurt: In a large bowl, combine the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, Greek yogurt, and grated garlic cloves. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well blended.
  3. Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a 1-quart baking dish or an ovenproof skillet lightly. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in the prepared dish, ensuring a uniform layer for even baking.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is warmed through and bubbling around the edges.
  5. Add Toppings and Garnish: Remove the dip from the oven and spoon the tomato bruschetta evenly over the top. Drizzle 1 to 2 tablespoons of balsamic glaze across the bruschetta and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil leaves to finish.
  6. Serve: Serve the baked dip warm alongside grilled crostini or pita bread for dipping and enjoying.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead: The cheese mixture can be prepared and placed in the baking dish up to 1 day in advance. Keep refrigerated and bring to room temperature (about 1 hour) before baking.
  • Storage: Store any leftover dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. It can be enjoyed chilled or warmed in the microwave in individual portions.
  • Leftover Ideas: Use this dip as a flavorful spread for sandwiches, layering it with deli meats and veggies, or add it to breakfast dishes like omelets or breakfast sandwiches for extra richness and flavor.
