Description

Crispy and flavorful air fryer pasta chips made from cooked pasta tossed with parmesan, olive oil, and garlic powder. These homemade chips are a perfect crunchy snack served with your favorite dipping sauce, offering a fun twist on traditional pasta.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ½ pound pasta of choice
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (or violife vegan cheese for dairy-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pepper to taste
  • Sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta. Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta thoroughly and return it to the pot.
  2. Toss with Seasonings. Add the grated parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, and pepper to the cooked pasta. Toss well to evenly coat the pasta with the seasonings.
  3. Prepare for Air Frying. Pour half of the seasoned pasta into the base of your air fryer basket. Arrange it so the pieces touch and slightly overlap but avoid stacking them on top of each other to ensure even cooking.
  4. Air Fry the Pasta. Set the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) and cook the pasta chips for 10 minutes, tossing halfway through. Begin checking every 60 seconds towards the end as air fryer performance varies. The chips should turn a dark golden brown around the edges without burning.
  5. Cool and Serve. Remove the pasta chips from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a few minutes to crisp up further. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy this crunchy snack.

Notes

  • Use a sturdy pasta shape like penne or rigatoni for best chip texture.
  • Check frequently toward the end of cooking to prevent burning since air fryer cooking times can vary.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute parmesan with a vegan cheese alternative such as Violife.
  • Serve immediately for best crispness, though cooled chips also maintain crunch.
