Description

Enjoy a flavorful and satisfying Ground Turkey Teriyaki Stir Fry that’s quick and easy to make. This dish combines tender ground turkey with a homemade teriyaki sauce and a variety of colorful vegetables for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

For the Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

For the Stir Fry

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 3 cups broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
  • 1 small onion, small diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. For the Teriyaki Sauce – In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 3/4 cup water, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and brown sugar. Bring to a low boil. Whisk together 1/4 cup water and cornstarch until dissolved. Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce, stirring until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in orange zest, and set aside.
  2. For the Stir Fry – Heat sesame oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onions until softened, then add ground turkey and cook until fully done. Add broccoli and carrots, cooking until tender. Reduce heat, add the Teriyaki sauce, and simmer. Serve over rice.

Notes

  • Pork or beef can be used instead of turkey.
  • Add spice like cayenne or red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Customize with additional veggies like snow peas, bell peppers, or baby corn.
  • Serve over rice, cauliflower rice, noodles, or as lettuce wraps.
  • If the teriyaki sauce is thick, adjust consistency with water.
